TOP at Genesee Community College
Genesee Community College has been awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to support scholarships for talented students who are pursuing associate degrees in computer science, engineering, mathematics & related fields.
Under the College's NSF Technology Opportunity Pathway (TOP) program, students who are enrolled full-time in the following career (AAS) and transfer (AS) programs may apply for an TOP Scholarship:
- Computer Information Systems (AS)
- Computer Systems and Network Technologies (AAS)
- Computer Support and Operations (AAS)
- Engineering Science (AS)
- Drafting (AAS)
- Liberal Arts: Math / Science (AS)
Eligibility criteria requires:
- students are full-time with a declared degree in one of the above programs
- demonstrate academic potential or ability (minimum 2.5 GPA or equivalent); and
- demonstrate financial need as defined by Federal financial aid guidelines.
If you are interested in pursing a career in one of these areas, Genesee Community College is the perfect place to begin. After earning your associate's degree you can join the workforce and begin your career immediately, or transfer to any one of hundreds of colleges or universities across the country to pursue your bachelor's or higher degree.
Please note: this is the fifth and final year of the TOP Scholarship Program. No more scholarships will be given after the spring 2009 semeseter.
